This was the perfect job for football nut Jakob.
His Coke Zero and O2 projects have proven his skills at documenting real stories in a beautifully crafted way. Capturing the reactions of these young players when Barcelona Manager Pep Guardiola turned up unexpectedly to watch them playing one afternoon, was a welcome challenge. The film launched this year's Nike Chance project, offering "Football Obsessed Teenagers" the opportunity to train at some of the world's biggest clubs as part of a Nike Academy. The film was shot on 23rd December in a gloriously sunny Barcelona, with two Alexas and three Canon 7D's, and a bunch of starstruck youngsters faced with their childhood hero (Pep not Jakob).
